UPCOMING EVENT: ANNOUNCING OUR SECOND NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH SYMPOSIUM

Because we received such an interest in the Neighborhood Watch program from our1st symposium, we will be hosting a second Neighborhood Watch Symposium for folks who were unable to attend, to include those we had on our waiting list. Seating is limited, so make sure you RSVP to attend.

Back in March 2016 the NE/CPC established a committee, now known as the Neighborhood Watch Advocates, to explore ways to work within the NE Area Command in collaboration with APD to help recruit, encourage, and equip block captains. Here’s the invitation to the first public meeting.

Tired of Crime?

Ready to join forces with your neighbors to put a stop to the property crime you are experiencing?

When: Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 7:00-8:30PM,

Where: Jewish Community Center – 5520 Wyoming Blvd NE

Sharanne Press, APD officers, and the Neighborhood Watch Advocates are hosting a meeting
1) to provide neighbors a chance to gather and learn ways they can best fight crime,
2) to provide existing and potential Block Captains a toolkit for energizing neighbors to unite against crime, and
3) to suggest to HOAs and Neighborhood Associations how to comprehensively organize against crime.

Seating will be limited, so please RSVP your intent to attend by emailing Sharanne Press, APD Crime Prevention Specialist (spress@cabq.gov) or Janet Butts, Neighborhood Watch Advocates Chair (janet.butts@msn.com).
