Daily Watch Notes 09302016 to 10032016

Good Day All,

With Balloon Fiesta off to a great start, our property crimes remained within the average range that we continue see across the weekends. However, we would still like to see a lot fewer of all of them. Please remain vigilant as to your property and what you are leaving out as we have an increase in population throughout the city because of our annual event. This means thieves are also out there looking to take advantage of the unsuspecting citizen. Take all of your items inside with you from your vehicle, to include your garage door openers. Ensure all doors and windows lock to your home and that you are parking your vehicle in well lit areas. Watch who and what is around you when you park and if it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Trust that instinct!

NOTE – In a couple of these calls, neighbors noted offenders in the act of breaking into vehicles and residences and contacted police immediately. Due to their descriptions and the offenders still being in the area, officers were able to apprehend these offenders and book them into jail. Great job to our community members extra eyes and contacting us as soon as they could!

As always, should you have questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you!
