Daily Watch Notes 08262016 to 08292016

Good Day Folks!

Here are the property crimes for this past weekend. The weekend was quite active in the area command. As a reminder, we have the State Fair beginning September 8th and running until September 18th and then the International Balloon Fiesta beginning October 1 through October 9th. This means that we will see an increase of visitors for these events. Although you hear this from us a lot, please keep in mind that you will still need to remain vigilant in completely cleaning those cars out. If you have visitors coming in from out of town to these events, please give them a friendly reminder of also making sure they take anything and everything in from their vehicles. Do not leave anything valuable, even if it is a jacket, blanket, etc. These items are enticing to criminals and breaking your window or punching your door locks to gain entry will not be a second thought in their minds, but will end up having you spend money for repair costs on the vehicle. Also, check your vehicles a second time before leaving them in a parking lot. Several of the vehicles that will be listed below as having been burglarized were unlocked.
