We are starting to see that criminals are getting smarter to the fact that some automotive shops don’t always leave your vehicle inside the garage where it can be secured a little better. Customer vehicles are being broken into and items that were left behind by the customer are being stolen. This serves as a reminder to everyone that you need to clean anything and everything out of your vehicles, especially when leaving it at an automotive shop for repairs.

Also, if you are going to leave your vehicle for repairs, speak with the employees and ask where your vehicle is going to be left if it is staying overnight. What type of security do they have? Where will your vehicle be parked? Is the area well lit at night? Check the business out and verify that they are a reputable business to care for your vehicle. Just something to keep in mind since we are still seeing a steady occurrence of auto burglaries throughout the city of Albuquerque.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
