Daily Watch Notes 04142015

Property Crimes for the last 24 hours in the NE Area Command are as follows:

5 Auto Thefts – 7000 blk of Kiowa, 2500 blk of San Mateo, 3900 blk of Montgomery, 3400 blk of Aztec rd.

4 Auto Burglaries – 5200 blk of San Antonio, 2100 blk of Louisiana, 5900 blk of Holly – Points of entry for the vehicles included the bed of a pick up truck, punched or damaged door locks, windows – ie: smash and grab. Items taken included construction equipment, stereos, and purses left in plain view on the front seat of the vehicle. As a reminder, put items inside your trunk prior to leaving your home for your destination rather than leaving them out in plain view on a car seat. Otherwise, take them inside with you to your destination. These are crimes of opportunity because of these actions. Stop the action by being diligent about taking items out of the vehicle. Most of these crimes can be stopped and prevented by remembering these simple tips.

6 Residential Burglaries – 2800 blk of San Pablo, 8800 blk of Palomar, 9300 blk of Admiral Lowell, 5600 blk of Alta Monte, 4500 blk of Shepard, 2300 blk of Carlisle. Points of entry were front doors, back doors, back windows and unsecured doors. Items taken were backpacks, TV’s and stereo equipment.
